"A Balanced Body is a Bowen Body"

About Me

My name is a Louise Harris and I am a qualified Bowen Therapist, treating both people and horses.

I became interested in Bowen therapy when I saw how effective it was at giving relief to horses.   Unhappy in my current employment as an accountant, I decided it was time for a change.  I have been fanatical about horses all of my life and began riding when I was 4 years old.  I now own a American Quarter Horse and, whilst I have tried my hand at most things, I’m particularly interested in Western riding and have competed at Western riding shows for a number of years.

I trained with the European College of Bowen Studies in 2007, Europe’s leading and most established Bowen school.  The ECBS is also recognised by the Federation of Holistic Therapists.

I then went on to fulfil my ambition of becoming an equine Bowen therapist, training at the European School of Equine Bowen Therapy with Beth Darrell and I am currently training to become a Canine Bowen Therapist with The Guild of Canine Bowen Therapy.

I am registered on the Bowen Therapists Professional Association (BTPA), formerly known as BTER, the only independent body set up to ensure that therapists keep their skills up to date.  As well as ensuring that they have sound knowledge of human Anatomy and Physiology, adequate insurance and also the appropriate level of first aid training.  Only therapists satisfying these requirements are able to register with BTPA.
